Resin and Wood Pendant. Flaming Red Necklace

ArtfulResin

AR0048

Gorgeous ArtfulResin handmade resin jewellery, made by me in Kent, United Kingdom.

This resin wood necklace is a fusion of burl wood and red epoxy resin. This boho necklace has an earthy and natural feel to it combined with lovely soft design. We have used an aluminium finding for extra strength and durability. It is finished off with a silver plated snake chain with a lobster clasp. The ultra clear resin has a glass-like finish.

This wood jewellery is elegant and one of a kind and would make a unique gift for her birthday or wedding anniversary.

Boho cool and stylish, this statement necklace would complement your work wear, add art to your evening wear or keep it casual and pair it with jeans! If you have always wanted a one of a kind necklace, then this is the one for you.

This is a made to order pendant. The piece shown in the picture is to show the shape, colour and style of the pendant you are buying. There may be slight variation in the colour and appearance of the pendant you receive as each piece is lovingly handmade using burl wood. This piece will take roughly two weeks to make.

I take inspiration from both the United Kingdom’s stunning landscapes and from the breath-taking Fjords and the coast of my native Norway, as well as rivers and waterfalls that are very common.

I try to source materials which are local to where I live. I buy any non-native wood from a local wood supplier who sources his wood ethically.

This item, and all my pieces, is made using a unique technique that involves stabilizing the wood to increase hardness and stability. The end result of my process is a hard-wearing pendant with a glass-like gloss finish that shines in the light.

It might be a long and very time consuming process as each piece has to be done one at a time, but I am a perfectionist and I think the finish I attain justifies the time spent.

I hope you enjoy this item as much as I enjoyed making it.
